When the terms we’ve built our lives upon fall apart, we have to find new reasons to go on. Jenna Carson shares her story with divorce and heartbreak and how it informs her work as a chaplain.
So grateful for both of you doing The Soloists and this episode in particular.
Yesterday on 3.19.25, the Church News mentioned in an article (titled: “Church adds new resources to Gospel Topics and Questions”) that the Church added 3 new pages to Gospel Topics and Questions of the Gospel Library app and ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Women’s service and leadership in the Church was one of them.
About 3/4 of the way through the topic, it mentions “women…serve as chaplains” which was great to see officially acknowledged by the Church given Jenna’s trail blazing journey explained more in this episode.
Diana and Mallory you are both intelligent, insightful and beautiful people. Thank you so much for sharing yourselves and creating these conversations. This is helping me find hope as I navigate a lonely marriage and the decision to divorce, where my wife no longer keeps covenants. These podcasts kindle my hope that single or married, I can be okay and grow closer to my Savior.
Thank you SO MUCH for this episode. I’ve been waiting for an episode talking about divorce - and specifically YSA-aged divorce - and this episode was so authentic. I felt so seen by this conversation, having been divorced in my mid-20’s after a young BYU marriage. Thank you for the amazing work you’re doing!
